We are recruiting for a Registered Clinical Counsellor to join our team. Only clinicians able to practice in the lower mainland will be considered.
About the role
In this role, you will be part of team of experts in the areas of trauma, attachment, and parent-child relationships. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside highly skilled therapists meeting the needs of vulnerable children and families in the community. You will have the opportunity to continue to expand your knowledge base in areas of child development, trauma, attachment, and the relevant clinical interventions.
What you will bring
- MA in counselling psychology or equivalent post graduate degree
- Registration and current good standing with BCACC or CCPA
- Post graduate training in Trauma and Attachment Therapies
- 5+ years post-graduate experience providing clinical counselling to children and families.
- Experience working with foster, permanent and adoptive families
- Knowledge of early childhood and adolescent development
- Working knowledge of attachment and parent-child dynamics
- Able to make decisions under pressure and work collaboratively with other service providers
- Video and teletherapy experience.
- Confident working with dysregulated children and youth, comfortable with crisis management.
