Registered Clinical Counsellor

We are recruiting for two Registered Clinical Counsellors to join our team, one based in Surrey, BC and one based in Victoria, BC.  Only local clinicians currently able to practice will be considered.

About the role

In this role, you will be part of team of experts in the areas of trauma, attachment, and parent-child relationships. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside highly skilled therapists that aim to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families in the community. You will have opportunities to expand your knowledge in areas of child development, trauma, attachment, and clinical interventions.

What you will bring

• MA in counselling psychology or equivalent post graduate degree
• Registration and current good standing with BCACC or CCPA
• Post graduate training in Trauma and Attachment Therapies
• 5+ years post-graduate experience providing clinical counselling to children and families.
• Experience working with foster, permanent and adoptive families
• Knowledge of early childhood and adolescent development
• Working knowledge of attachment and parent-child working dynamics
• Able to work and make decisions under pressure and video and teletherapy experience.
• Confident working with dysregulated children and youth, comfortable with crisis management.
