Leanne holds a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities: English, History, and Philosophy. Leanne is an educator, writer and editor interested in helping people find their voice.She is passionate about story, its function in history, and the self-awareness of individuals within these bigger stories, particularly those unfairly quieted or even silenced by the “narrative” of North American culture.
She co-authored the children’s book Your Baby Brain is Loud Tonight with Andrea Chatwin and is helping A Child’s Song in the development of further adoption competent and trauma informed resources. Leanne is keenly interested in supporting adoptees in the development of their story. She works collaboratively with the clinical team at A Child’s Song to write life stories that help children process their experiences in a safe and developmentally appropriate way.
