Mom’s Group Therapy is an online group therapy specifically designed for adoptive, foster and permanent mom’s and facilitated by Andrea Chatwin.
The group content will focus on the following topic areas:
Dear Mom’s,
I have taught many parenting workshops over the years and observed in the Q & A and feedback that I have received, an overwhelming need for moms to receive more direct support for themselves. What I heard these mom’s asking for was an opportunity to share the truth about the struggles and pain they are experiencing while raising children with trauma. I also heard the need for a different way of thinking about and responding to the difficult circumstances they find themselves in every day so that they can be well and live full lives while parenting.
As an adoptive parent, I have been down this road myself. And as a therapist I have had the privilege of walking alongside many foster and adoptive mom’s as they navigate their own complicated journey of being fully committed to their child AND wanting to care for themselves. I look forward to sharing what I have discovered that is helping moms to find more confidence, peace, and balance in their lives. The beautiful thing about a therapy group is that you will also find comfort, acceptance and new ideas amongst a group of other mom’s who really ‘get it.’
Sincerely, Andrea
